Abstract

Green chemistry has become a groundbreaking trend in the contemporary industrialization, it offers ecological alternatives to the conventional chemical procedures and addresses the pressing environmental, financial, and sociological problems. This chapter discusses the financial and techno-economic condition which can facilitate the adoption, scalability, and the sustainability of the progressions of green chemistry in the long term. It analyzes the key economic drivers such as sustainable product demand, government incentives, and carbon pricing policy and green financial instruments, which are changing the dynamics of investments and affecting corporate decisions. It also focuses on technological enablers such as process intensification, renewable resources, waste valorization, and digital optimization which enhance cost-effectiveness, as well as environmental performance in the chapter. This study emphasizes the relationship between technology and economy stability in promoting chemical transformation that is environmentally friendly. The chapter discusses implementation challenges including the high initial capital investment, scaling problems, and the ambiguous regulations, and provides strategic advice to the investors, policymakers, and industry members. In this study, the financial analysis is combined with techno-economic analysis, which gives a comprehensive framework of how the economic viability and technological advances intersect to facilitate the process of transitioning to the low-carbon, resource-efficient chemical industry.
