Abstract

Foreign body aspiration is a life-threatening event, especially in children. In Pakistan, foreign body aspiration in children with betel nuts is a common emergency in the perioperative area. Health awareness of parents, teachers, caretakers, and health care providers can play a significant role in reducing the risk of this life-threatening event. This article describes a case report of a 21/2 year old boy who presented in the perioperative area with a betel nut aspiration.
