Abstract

A medical journal encourages research and promotes publication from the institution which publishes it. Many of the best academic institutions abroad and in India publish medical journals, e.g., the Mayo Clinic (Mayo Clinic Proceedings) in the USA and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (The National Medical Journal of India).
