Abstract

Acute pain management in postoperative patients is crucial not only for the reduction in morbidity and mortality but also for patient satisfaction. Effective running of this service in a hospital requires dedicated team work, education, implementation of different protocols and continuous evaluation which are challenging for anesthetists especially in developing countries like Pakistan. We are sharing our experience in managing this service effectively.
