Abstract
The concept of organ crosstalk emphasizes the importance of bidirectional communication between brain and kidneys, where dysfunction in one system can significantly impact the function of other. For instance, acute kidney injury can lead to cognitive impairment and alterations in mental status due to disruptions in electrolyte balance and accumulation of uremic toxins. Conversely, neurological insults, such as traumatic brain injury, can disrupt renal function through alterations in sympathetic tone and hormonal dysfunction. Understanding and elucidating this complex interaction is critical for developing effective anesthetic strategies in cerebral pathologic conditions. The main aim of which is limiting the detrimental effects, promoting recovery and overall well-being.
