Abstract

Sclerosing stromal tumor (SST) is a rare subset of ovarian sex cord-stromal tumors. It is even rarer among the pediatric population. As such its characterization in case reports holds particular value. We report a case of SST in an 8-month old who presented with abdominal distension and for whom exploratory laparotomy and surgical excision of the tumor was done. To our knowledge this is only the second reported case of SST presenting in an infant.
