Abstract

This chapter reviews the players of oxidative stress (OS) in regulating normal physiological functions and their role in male and female reproductive physiology. Subsequently, their role in reproductive disorders will be reviewed. Possible preventive and therapeutic targets for managing and treating male and female infertility pertinent to OS will be reviewed along with their rationale. In the current chapter, we will first discuss the players of OS in reproductive pathologies and then explore the possible management strategies relevant to those targets and evidence to speculate if the antioxidants could be used as a therapeutic modality for managing reproductive issues, particularly infertility.
