Abstract

The biggest earthquake to hit Pakistan in 100 years shook the mountainous northern areas on Oct 8. At least 40 000 people have died, but the crisis is far from over. The UN is now warning of a "disaster within a disaster" if relief agencies do not coordinate their efforts. Khabir Ahmad reports.
